So it seems that Fashion's Night Out in NYC is all the rage this year. Personally, I get a little overhwhelmed at events like this...but when I heard that Jersey Shore's very own Vinny Guadagnino will be making a cameo at C.O. Bigelow's event, I had to let my readers know.
Head down to the C.O. Bigelow store at 414 6th Avenue in New York City between 7 and 8 PM on September 10th for a little meet and greet with Vinny. Now what does Vinny have to do with Fashion's Night Out and especially C.O. Bigelow, you ask? Well, the reality star will be showcasing his grooming product essentials as well as his favorite products that he likes the ladies to wear. Oh boy, start swooning now and don't forget your cameras.

So living the LA life, I'm pretty much always dressed for summer...which is still something to get used to coming from the east coast, let me tell you. It seems like I'm in a bikini at least once a week and it's been causing major stress on my bikini line, as well as my mental state. I used to wax in college because I found this amazing, cheap little hole in the wall that would do a Brazilian for $25 (NO JOKE) but then after college, I got lazy and/or stopped caring as much since I was so busy working that I didn't really even have time for the beach. Fast forward to LA 2010. I can't even tell you how many times someone yells "let's go to the hot tub" and I cringe and have to think "ugh, am I prepared for the hot tub right now?"
After complaining non-stop to Sydne, she finally talked me into trying out laser hair removal and ladies, I'm never looking back. Since I was also about to go to New York, I figured why not try out the famous Completely Bare Hi-Tech Spa, known for their laser hair removal and also happens to be near my old apartment (tear). My technician was FABULOUS. I was a litle freaked out because one, a stranger was about to look at my vajay and two, because well...lasers are scary!
My technician poured on globs of gel (kinda like Vaseline) and I prepared myself for the first laser snap to come. Not gonna lie...it was a bit shocking but mostly cause I just didn't know what to expect. After the first few "snaps," as I like to call them, you kinda just get used to the feeling and it doesn't hurt so much after that. Overall the pain is WAY less than waxing so I think it totally worth it.
The results so far? I went about a week with ZERO hair growth, which I think is totally amazing after just ONE treatment (you usually need about 4-6 to see long-lasting results). I'm definitely going back from treatment number two in another three weeks.
So I'm off to New York for a week and I seriously can't wait. I haven't seen my family since Christmas (with the brief exception of my Degree trip back in March)! And ugh, my friends...I'm bursting with excitement. I'm so excited, in fact, that I don't even care that it's going to be 97 degrees and HUMID. Yeah, humidity is something I'd like to forget and nearly have forgotten since moving to LA. Ah well, it will still be fun to catch up and roam around NY, 22 year old style. Stay tuned for updates and follow me on Twitter to get the instant play-by-plays.
I'm pretty much going nomad-style and will be roaming all over from Long Island to Manhattan to Westchester and maybe even, gasp, New Jersey.

Lady GaGa supporting the New York Yankees and Sydne Summer tastefully supporting the LA Lakers
So I saw this crazy photo of Lady GaGa the other day and I was honestly a little grossed out. We all know that I love me some Lady GaGa but come on, there's a fine line. The whole Yankee jersey fiasco made me think about how I don't own ANY clothing to support my home state teams (New York Knicks and New York Mets) because frankly, everything I see is a made for a dude. I recently heard about Alyssa Milano's sportswear line and thought it was such an innovative idea that I had to share. I mean, I've never really thought much about Alyssa Milano...her ridiculous Jersey Shore parody annoyed me, frankly and she hasn't really had a real job since Charmed but hey, at least she's making some money off her sportswear line, touch by Alyssa Milano.

So I don't ususually do much blogging about reality TV (unless it's Jersey Shore-related, haha) but I'm just so sad after seeing/hearing the news that Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Dina Manzo, is leaving the show mostly due to arch nemesis, Danielle Staub! I kind of hate this kind of reality TV...BUT I'll be the first to admit that I'm competely and utterly hooked on RHONJ, in a serious way. Out of all of the crazy NJ ladies, Dina is definitely the most relatable and, gasp, even tries to actually do some GOOD with her charity, Project Ladybug. The one thing that always bugged me is that you never, I repeat, never, see her husband Tommy Manzo. What's up wth that?
Well, after some good old fashioned Google-stalking, I found the above video...and I nearly died. Dina Manzo, you are completely ridiculous. I love you today, yesterday and always. Come back to the show!

So one of my favorite New York designers, Tory Burch, recently put out an A-MAZING music CD last month- it's her second limited edition compilation CD and it features some of Tory's favorite songs of all time. Did you know music is a big passion of hers? The best part is that 100%, yes I said 100%, of the proceeds benefit the Tory Burch Foundation's microfinance partner Accion USA. I'm especially loving "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" by Wyclef Jean, "Bigmouth Strikes Again" by The Smiths and "Sideways" by Santana and Citizen Cope. Pick one up here, get some music and do some good. Oh, and while you're at it, check out my interview with Tory from back in January.

So one of my favorite websites, TheLuxurySpot.com, just launched a new DEALS page and I couldn't be more ecstatic. First up? a $25 brazilian bikini wax and eyebrow threading package (that's 56% off regular retail price) from New York City's Hibba Day Spa. Um, I wish I could fly back right now to take advantage of this. The deal ends tomorrow so act fast but be sure to check back to TheLuxurySpot.com/Deals frequently to check out their updates.
So back in my Johnson & Johnson Beauty PR days, I was lucky enough to actually attend the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Beauty Awards which, if you don't know, is to beauty industry what the Oscars are to acting. They're always hosted by the hilariously funny Mario Cantone (Anthony from Sex & The City) and have many celeb guests- this year Kim Kardashian, Whitney Port and Estelle presented at the event so needless to say, I'm sure it was a great one.
When I got the email announcing this year's winners, my heart skipped a beat and I laugh to myself about the fact that I still get excited. Here are my favorites among the winners and you can check out a full list of winners here.
My top winners:
- ColorMetrics TouchBack By ColorMark
- Living Proof Full Thickening Cream
- CoverGirl Smokey ShadowBlast
- Clinique Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder

So I was literally elated when I found out about Coach's recent collaboration with four fantastic fashion bloggers and finally, here's your chance to snatch one up! My personal favorite is Kelly's Drawstring Pouch but they are seriously ALL adorable. And, if you're in New York City, head over to the Madison Avenue Coach store on June 8th to meet the girls! Check out the details HERE.

So bikini season is coming and one body part that's often forgotten is your bum. Cindy Barshop, owner of completely bare spa in New York, developed a very useful bikini/bum facial to minimize the damage from continual trauma from a bad wax, excessive shaving and ingrown hairs resulting in discoloration, scarring and hyper-pigmentation. The treatment also treats acne, age spots and rough skin on the buttocks, ensuring that skin looks flawless in even the most itsy-bitsy of bikinis. At the end of the treatment, skin feels baby smooth to the touch! If you're in New York, you should definitely check it out.
Step 1: Cleansing the area
Step 2: Crystal Microdermabrasion - exfoliates dead skin and scars of ingrown hairs
Step 3: Steaming - to help with the extractions of ingrown hairs and acne, as well as open pores
Step 4: Soothing Organic Mask - to close the pores and balance the skin
Step 5: LED Light Therapy -Green LED reduces melanoma production and pigmenation, BlueLED prevents bacteria and acne, Yellow LED detoxifies.
