So my best friend got engaged a few months ago and as the wedding approaches quickly (August!) I'm starting to get on the prowl for fun, quirky gifts and bridal solutions for the bride-to-be. I came across Star Candy's line of bridal panties and I have to say, I'm loving them. I'm not normally one for bedazzled panties (at least not since 2002) but these are actually really comfy yet also really sexy, so I can give them my "official" seal of approval.
Ask any of my friends what my signature jewelry piece is and they would say my "Jamie" name ring. I got TONS, and I mean TONS of compliments on the somewhat-ghetto ring that I bought myself a few years ago after seeing Lauren Conrad's double name ring on an episode of "The Hills." But I'm honest, and I have no shame in my game so when people ask me where I got my awesome ring, I tell them "uhh, I just googled 'Lauren Conrad double name ring' and I found THIS random site." $99 for sterling silver and $255 for 14K gold...it ain't a bad deal. After my Jamie ring became one of my regular accessory staples, I started noticing double name rings everywhere and with some really fun designs and I guess I kind of started a collection, at this point. Right now I'm loving these doozies. (clockwise)
So attention all NYCers- Miss Lauren Conrad will be signing copies of her debut novel, L.A. Candy, at Barnes and Noble Tribeca. Head down to 97 Warren Street this Thursday, June 18th at 7PM to meet the reality star in person.
According to the Degree Women survey, it's the small indulgences that are non-negotiable in hard economic times. To help women find ways to have it all the new Degree Women Fine Fragrance Collection partnered last night at Dylan's Candy Bar with actress Lindsay Price, star of NBC's acclaimed "Lipstick Jungle." Lindsay is passionate about showing women how to be smart shoppers and spenders and provides tips about how to look good without breaking the bank.
"I've learned that knowing when to save and when to splurge is key o savoring everyday luxuries," says Price. "It's important to realize how to adjust - not abandon - indulgences, by looking for smarter ways to spend and treat ourselves."
