House of Harlow by Nicole Richie for bebe

So I was lucky enough to attend the launch party for House of Harlow by Nicole Richie for bebe last week at bebe's Rodeo Drive store in Beverly Hills. The event was fab and the jewelry, even better than expected. The best part about the collection is that Nicole and bebe have created a one-of-a-kind keepsake bracelet that is sold in bebe stores and bebe.com throughout December with 25% of sales donated to the Richie-Madden Children's Foundation. Sadly, Nicole was too sick to attend the launch event but I did manage to spot Nick Verreos, of Project Runway fame and Lou Diamond Phillips, who I most recently watched on my guilty pleasure, I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. What did I purchase? The Aztec Necklace in black. Such a statement piece.

So if I have one major celebrity fashion crush, it's Nicole Richie. Even though our bodies couldn't be ANY more different, I just loooove her style...so naturally, I was thrilled when I read that she will now be designing shoes in addition to her jewelry! Plus, I love the name "House of Harlow 1960" for a fashion line...

What do you think of her jewelry collection that's sold at Kitson? Hit or miss?

Sweater Berets?

So it's no secret that I heart Nicole Richie and when I saw this photo I immediately thought "hey, this is totally an outfit I wear ALL the time" only minus the hat. I walk by street vendors every day that sell these sweatery berets in every color (and even sequins a la Erin @ Tenjune on "The City") and I have to admit that I'm tempted to try one out. I think the main reason I'm holding back is because they have the rep of being sort of "hipster" and therefore, everything I am against in life. However, Nicole pulls it off in a very trendy yet classic sort of style with a red pea coat, black skinny jeans and, of course, a great pair of Loubs.
