So I often rave about the Living Proof line so when they launched a product specifically designed to thicken hair, I knew it was no joke.  I've used hundreds of "thickening" products and I'd say about 80% of them don't work OR cause such a mess that it's not even worth using.  Living Proof Full Thickening Cream is the real deal.  In true form, I decided to try this with out reading the directions first so yeah, I loaded on a bit too much to my root area.  Honestly, I need this product more by my roots than at my ends but I'll have to use less next time, which they say is normal because you have to "play" with the produt to figure out exactly how much is right for you.  Anyway, they have a great how-to video that I highly suggest watching to avoid my own mistake.  And, as a bonus, my hair was also less frizzy than usual!  Seriously, what can't this company do?

So I'm mildly obsessed with all things Rachel Zoe and when I saw this amazing feature on the less publicized Taylor and Brad, I had to read and share.  Taylor's gone off on her own but Brad is still on Team Zoe but it's completely adorbale that they're still friends.  Make sure you also check out the additional photos were they style each other.  PaperMag is pretty genius.

So while watching the Grammy's at my friend Robin's apartment, my friends and I were all "wait...does Beyonce have glitter in her hair?"  Yes, yes she did.  When I got a pitch email today for the actual product that she wore, I simply HAD to share.  Though I have to admit that Beyonce annoys the crap out of me, she is definitely talented and a hard worker...and, apparently, likes her bling.

So my latest obsession?  Bloom Lip Balm.  If you were like me in high school, you lived off of Peach Snapple, no?  Well this Lip Balm tastes literally indentical to the Snapple goodness that I used to drink daily.  Ah, to have a teenage metabolism. Anyhow, back to the Lip Balm...besides the amazing natural taste, it soothes, softens and conditions dry lips using ingredients like beeswax, jojoba oil and vitamin E.  And, if you don't favor peach, the Lip Balm also comes in Strawberry, Lime, Orange, Grapefruit and Vanilla flavors.  Make sure you buy a few at a time because, if you're like me, you'll be licking this off your lips constantly.

So I've never really been a girl that uses face masks...that is, until I wandered into the LUSH store at the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica.  As most of you know, I'm very familiar with LUSH (and love it) but since there products are so fresh, there are some that I simly haven't been able to try.  I heard about the LUSH Cupcake face mask ($7.95 at LUSH stores nationwide) about a year ago and immediately went to sniff out the situation, no pun intended.  I'm a sucker for anything that smells like food, especially chocolate, and believe me, this SMELLS good enough to eat. Initially I was a little scared to try this mask since it specifically says "for oily and teenage skin," either of which, I am not.  I actually have very dry skin...but I just couldn't resist the chocoate smell and cupcake-like texture.  Whatever...I'll just load up on moisturizer after, right?  Well let me tell you...this mask does what it says- within minutes, the oil was litrerally sucked out of my skin- which is a good thing if you are an oily teenager.  I left the mask on for the minimum time (5 minutes) and it washed off very nicely with warm water...I have to say, even though Cupcake isn't right for my skin type, I'd use it again.  Yum.

So I'm really loving this new campaign from Bobbi Brown.  This spring, Bobbi is launching a campaign called Pretty Powerful, celebrating Bobbi's belief that all women possess natural beauty, and with the right tools, are empowered to a higher level of pretty.  The campaign will feature real women, or "Friends of Bobbi," and their before/after photos, videos and testimonials as the centerpiece content of the campaign, which will live on BobbiBrownCosmetics.com/prettypowerful.
